The Lion of Amphipolis (Greek: Λέων της Αμφίπολης) is a 4th-century BC tomb sculpture near Amphipolis, Macedonia, northern Greece. According to archaeologist Dimitris Lazaridis, the first person excavating in the area in the 1960s, it was set up in honour of Laomedon of Mytilene, an important general of Alexander the Great, king of Macedon. Ancient Stagira (22χλμ)
Stagira, Stagirus, or Stageira (Greek: Στάγειρα or Στάγειρος) was an ancient Greek city located near the eastern coast of the peninsula of Chalkidice, which is now part of the Greek province of Central Macedonia and it is close to the town of Olympiada. It is chiefly known for being the birthplace of Aristotle, who was born in 384 BC and was a Greek philosopher and polymath, student of Plato, and teacher of Alexander the Great. Aristotle died in 322 BC in Chalkida.
Park of Aristotle (46χλμ)
A unique park of Aristotle is located at an altitude of about 500 meters, in the historical village of Stagira, the birthplace of the great philosopher. It is worth visiting not only for its interesting instruments but also for the great view to the gulf of Ierissos. The park preexisted and the wonderful location was chosen in 1956 to host the statue of Aristotle, made by sculptor Nicholas, in honor. The unique interactive instruments were placed there in 2003. They are experimental instruments, operating by rules of physics that are mentioned in Aristotle’s textbooks and especially in the one called ΄΄The Natural΄΄ and combines recreation, entertainment and education.
Agio Oros

The church of Ayia Marina
The church of Ayia Marina is just 10km from Vrasna and located in the 75th km of the old highway Thessaloniki - Kavala, in the valley of the Macedonian Tempi. The little church was built by Modi villagers in the mid 18th century as is also reported by the inscriptions.
